How to Get Around to Mahahual

From the Caribe Terminal at the Ignacio Manuel Altamirano Market, also known as the Old Market of Chetumal, two ADO buses leave daily. It will take you approximately 2 hours for your trip.
From Bacalar
You can take the same buses that come from Chetumal, but we suggest you go to Chetumal to catch the bus, as they are often full and it is not possible to board them safely.
From Cancun
To get there from Cancun, take an ADO bus to Felipe Carrillo Puerto (3.5 hours). Then take a Mayab bus to Limones (45 minutes) and, once there, take a Caribe bus to Chetumal, which takes an average of 1 hour.
From Playa del Carmen
From the ADO company, you have the most direct option with only one exit from their terminal to Limones. Then take a Caribe bus to Chetumal and from there to Mahahual.
From Tulum
Opt for a Mayab bus to get to Limones in a 2-hour trip. Once there, take the Caribe bus to Chetumal and then to Mahahual.
