Designed for an environment of great tourist and scenic value in a natural setting in the Yucatan Peninsula next to the Mexican Caribbean. The site combines the tranquility of the jungle and the dynamism of the Caribbean Sea.
WHY AMIRA DISTRICT TULUM?
The luxury community spaces are integrated with nature so the complex offers jungle gardens, community pools with connected canals, magical outdoor spaces, hammock areas integrated with the river, multipurpose pavilions and sports equipment, as well as interconnected rooftop pools, gym, yoga, deck areas, and outdoor parking.
Amira District bases its design on the communion between the natural environment and a geometry contrasted with it. The facade emulates the movement of the waves creating dynamism and the facade material is indigenous bamboo. The architecture merges with nature by entering the interior of the building and ascending to the rooftop where the social life of each community flourishes with its unique experiences such as spa, gym and “bridge pools”.
All to achieve a broad vocabulary of visual elements that mutate into a language of design, materials and forms, for a biomimetic architecture. The goal was to achieve a balance between mind-body-soul, providing a true escape from everyday life, allowing maximum disconnection and relaxation.

- The first floor, intended for the location of natural elements and common spaces, provides a private bathroom and a garden that connects to the central area.
